Adding a language is easy. Adding the right language, and translating only the parts that should be translated, is where the work is.

Kısaca

  • Pick languages from evidence you already have -- reservation origins, card issuing countries, scan-language data -- not from a list of popular languages.

  • Translate the description, keep the dish name. "Tavë kosi" explained in English beats "baked yoghurt lamb" every time.

  • Show the original alongside the translation rather than replacing it, so a guest can point at what they want to order.

  • Arabic is not a font change. Right-to-left affects layout, alignment, and where the price sits relative to the dish.
