How to Create a QR Code Menu for Your Restaurant

Six steps, in the order that avoids the expensive mistakes. Most of the cost of getting this wrong is paid at the printer.

The short version

  • Build the menu as structured items before you generate anything. The code is the last step, not the first.

  • Choose a dynamic code. A static one welds today's URL into the print run.

  • Export vector for print -- SVG or PDF -- and set error correction to M or H so the code survives a scuffed table tent.

  • Test on two phone platforms, in the real room, from a seated position, before you order 200 of them.
